A long time ago, I saw the video clip for this.  If I recall correctly, it was from Gakibara, and they were watching a story about a father who left his family.  He wanted to see his son, though, and the show set up a reunion.  It was a kind of bittersweet thing where the kid didn’t really know how to react, like “why are you coming into my life now, of all times?” but he agreed to meet with his father again sometime.  The father came back to the camera all teary, and they cut to this shot of Nino crying.  I’m pretty sure it’s a fairly old show, pre-Mayonaka or at least pre-C/DnA, and I can’t help but wonder if this story in particular hit too close to home for Nino, who rarely cries publicly.  Either way, watching it really tore at my heart :(
